Today I’d like to share how I made pizza, from scratch. You can top the pizza with anything you like, pepperoni, ground beef, tuna (which I already shared the recipe awhile back), plain cheese, etc, and this time I topped mine with corned beef as that was all I could find in the pantry hahahaha 😀
The dough should be enough to make 2 pizza crusts, big enough for 2 adults, so you can top one with something different than the other one.
CRUST
Ingredients
1 scant tbsp of dry yeast
1 cup lukewarm water
3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 teaspoons of salt
Method
- In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour and salt), and mix thoroughly.
- In another stainless steel bowl, combine the water and yeast, using spatula, then the oil, mix well. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Pour the water into the center of the flour, and with a spatula, stir to combine well into a sticky mass.
- Pour this mass out onto a lightly floured surface and begin to knead the dough until dough is free of stickiness.
- Brush another stainless steel bawl with oil. Place the ball of dough in it. Cover with a clean cloth and let rise at room temperature until it has doubled in size.
- When it has risen in the size, punch down the dough, and divided into two balls. Roll each ball onto the floured surface, then top it with any kinds of topping you like.
TOPPING
Ingredients
2 tbsp of diced tomatoes & basil (I used Garden Seletc 6 Veggies Recipe from Catelli)
8 fat free cheese slices
1/4 can of corned beef
1 recipe for plain pizza crust
dash of steak seasoning
1 medium onion, sliced, chopped
Method
- Mix the beef with onion
- On the crust, spread the sauce all over the crust, leaving 1 cm from each sides of the crust
- Place 6 slices of cheese topping the sauce
- Then spread the mixed beef ontop of the cheese thoroughly
- Sprinkle the steak seasoning all over the beef
- Sliced the last 2 cheese slice then spread all over the last topping
- I baked the pizza for about 30 minutes long or until the crust is golden brown, crunchy and cooked
