My mom and oldest sis used to prepare this easy dish, growing up. In Indonesia we would call this as Sarden Bumbu Pedas.
So good served with warm rice 😀
1/2 of 1 onion, chopped
7 chili, more if desired
4 shallots, chopped
1/4 cm ginger, optional
1/2 glass of water
salt and sugar to taste
2 tablespoons of frying oil or 2 tablespoons of margarine
2 garlic, crushed
2 big cans of Mackerel in Tomato Sauce/in Chili Sauce
Saute garlic, onion, chili, shallots, and ginger (optional) until they produced nice scent, then add in Mackarel, stir well
Add in salt and sugar
Add in water, stir well
Serve hot on top of a warm rice immediately
Spicy Sardines
